How many of the same liberals defending Roman Polanski wanted to jail those Duke lacrosse players?

by on December 27, 2010

You see, Polanski committed a rape and the lacrosse players were dragged through the mud for a “crime” that never happened!

Whos defending Roman Polanksi? Like those La Crosse players, Polanski will be able to afford a high priced attorney and walk away.

Good question!

It almost happend again last week. When some college girl in MD accused a bunch of co-eds at a party for raping HER!

Steel Rain December 27, 2010 at 2:26 pm

Excellent point but then the lacrosse team members aren’t creative liberal perverts.

TRUE American Patriot December 27, 2010 at 2:27 pm

I’m a liberal and I think Roman Polanski deserves to rot in jail. And just because Woody Allen is defending him.

And I thought the whole Duke lacrosse case was fishy too. After all, the DA pushed forward even after the accuser changed her story several times. There’s a reason why he was disbarred.

Joe Finkle December 27, 2010 at 2:57 pm

Finding a few liberals who are wrong does not serve as an effective criticism of liberals in general. Hollywood opinions tend to be more lenient toward great filmmakers, even when they do terrible things. That’s not true of the public in general (except apparently Michael Jackson for some reason).

The Only Logical Solution December 27, 2010 at 3:31 pm

It’s the same Liberal confusion. Excuse the criminal.

Roman Polanski drugged and raped a 13 year old girl and it doesn’t matter how long ago he did it. He should be punished. Who cares how “great” his movies were? And just because he ran from the law, does not excuse him. But Hollywood defends its criminals and other nutcases.

Look at that video of that boy who got hit over the head with that wooden board. He was a straight-A student. Now they’re trying to excuse the murder as something “gang fight, and they’ll always fight.”
Even Obama wants to excuse terrorism and call anything they do a “man-made disaster.”

The Duke Lacrosse players got nothing I bet. No compensation, no assistance with their schooling, just an unfair and unearned bad reputation that will hinder them for a long time. Even the Dean of that University wanted them punished, just because they were rich white kids.

EDIT: ””Who the heck is defending Polanski? He has made some decent movies, but that doesn’t let anybody off the hook for molesting a little girl.””

The French Government. Newsweek film critic David Ansen defended Polanski and referred to his arrest as a “vendetta.” Also Debra Winger and Whoopi Goldberg, both of whom also defended Polanski. Whoopi Goldberg a nut-job Conservative? Good one!

Who the heck is defending Polanski? He has made some decent movies, but that doesn’t let anybody off the hook for molesting a little girl.

If anyone is defending polanski it would be those right-wing get-the-government-out-of-my-business freaks.

The alleged victim is the daughter of a state employee. The girl’s mother and Muschany, a married father of 2 children, were romantically involved, the woman said. (Aren’t “Family Values” a wonderful thing?) In a morbid twist of irony, Muschany was a co-sponsor of legislation that toughened sex offender laws in 2006. According to his legislative biography, Muschany and his wife were licensed as foster parents with the Division of Family Services.

McKee is not facing any charges right now, but as of today, Feb 15, 2008, he has resigned his position as both a state delegate and as executive director of the Big Brothers Big Sisters Club of Washington County. Republican sex offender & Department of Children & Families press secretary Al Zimmerman, 40, was arrested Friday, Feb 1, 2008 and charged with eight felony charges of using a child in a sexual performance. The victims were ages 16 and 17 at the time of the crime, and at least one may have been in the care of DCF at one point, according to the report. Murray says Kauffman discussed meeting her to take nude photos and to have sex. Over the course of seven conversations during the past two months, transcripts show each chat was sexually graphic. Murray say Kauffman recognized the girl’s age, and even showed some hesitation, teasing the girl about whether she could be a cop.

Atchison, 53, an assistant U.S. attorney from the northern district of Florida, has been arrested on suspicion of traveling to Detroit over the weekend to have sex with a 5 year old child. An undercover officer posed as a mother offering her child to Atchison for sex, according to police. In deposition, detectives said Atchison suggested the mother tell her daughter that “you found her a sweet boyfriend who will bring her presents.” The undercover detective expressed concern about physical injury to the 5-year-old girl as a result of the sexual activity. Detectives said Atchison responded, ” I am always gentle and loving; not to worry, no damage ever, no rough stuff ever. I only like it soft and nice.” The undercover detective asked how Atchison can be certain of no injury. He responded, “Just gotta go slow and very easy. I’ve done it plenty,” according to detectives.

Excellent point. I bet a great amount.

I’m a pretty jaded person, but I can’t believe the yahoos that seriously think Polanski is the victim here. He drugged and raped a 13 year old girl. Yes, the courts were wrong to plea bargain it down as low as they did (though it wasn’t uncommon back then), but then the spoiled little scumbag skips out of the country to avoid a tiny slap on the wrist. He’s lived a privileged life for 32 years. I’m happy his victim has gotten to a good point in her life where she can forgive, but he is a danger to society. Harvey Weinstein, Woody Allen (who had his own underage girlfriend) and all the other liberal sympathizers can roll over and let him have his way with them, but I’ll be damned if we will!

Lee B December 27, 2010 at 5:51 pm

Here’s an easy one for you: Replace Polanski in this situation with a member of the clergy. The women on The View (yes, Whoopi, this is “rape-rape”) and the Hollywood high-muck-a-mucks would have no problem throwing the man to the wolves. But since Polanski is a member of the “Cult of Personality,” his brothers and sisters will gladly circle the wagons to protect their own.
Stephen King had a great anecdote about meeting famous people whose work he admired. He related that no matter how talented some might be, it didn’t change the fact that some were utter $hi+$ as human beings. Might Mr. Polanski fall into this category?

Edik December 27, 2010 at 6:01 pm

Well, I think it’s a bit unfair to lump “liberals” in the same bucket as “Hollywood movie-makers,” who tend to be on the less-than-moderate side of liberal. Those are the people who are speaking out about this case, at least in the US. Keep in mind that the Hollywood community has their own self-interest in mind here. They have to be willing to “look the other way” because as soon as people in Hollywood start examining their lives and the lives of their colleagues under a microscope, they’re going to quickly realize that a lot of them are truly the scum of the earth.

I don’t know of many (any?) real “liberals” (if by “liberals” you mean non-Republicans?) in the US who are coming to his defense, other than those who have a personal interest in the situation.

What seems to be forgotten in water-cooler discussions of this event is that Polanski was charged with a wide range of things (including rape of a 13-year old), pled guilty to a lesser charge (as is very common in our legal system), served about half of a 90-day psychiatric evaluation term, and was supposed to appear before a court for sentencing. That’s when he skipped the country. So, it’s not exactly the rape that he’s being arrested for, but rather for leaving the country to avoid sentencing. (and presumably, he would receive his original sentence, plus a penalty for fleeing)

slipstreamer December 27, 2010 at 6:56 pm

Liberal or not has nothing to do with it. Polanski was originally prosecuted in the 70s, which was a pretty liberal time.

He’s a rapist and deserves to be prosecuted. It has nothing t do with politics. It’s about the fact he raped a little girl. Leave politics out of it. Not everything is about politics.

unemployed December 27, 2010 at 7:10 pm

Polanski should be fucked hard in the ass by a 40″ dildo.

Good Point. False Accusations of Rape and Abuse as a means to further Radical Feminist Male Bashing (Misandry) are so prevalent in society today, that we really need to rethink our position on Rape in General.

If a woman can basically claim any sex is Rape: days, months, years or decades after the sex occurs…. then logic demands that a woman can also claim that any rape was simply sex.. days, months, years or decades after the sex occurs. ..

False rape accusations are routinely used in divorce and custody battles by women trying to get the upper hand in alimony, marital assets or child custody payments. Women absurdly claim that sex over the marriage, or decades past, is now suddenly ‘rape’ despite no evidence or prior claims of rape or abuse. Feminist support this view that gives women the power to proclaim any sex is rape any time they want to threaten a man. Malicious women often make claims of rape weeks after a lover does not return phone calls, send flowers, or is seen with another girl.

That is why we need to clearly define Rape as different from Date Rape. Rape is the hooded pervert hiding in the bushes, that snatches and beats a woman, then violently rapes her against her will. This is clearly and unequivocably rape.

Date rape is sex between people that know each other.. and should always be viewed with a high degree of skepticism becase almost all date rape accusations are false, and are merely the lewd and vulgar and malicious attacks by spurned or bi-polar feminists.

Too many times a women is pressured or extorted to make false rape accusations by prosecutors of femi-nazis that terrorize the women, or stigmatize them, forcing her to choose between being a good little victem or a nasty dispicable prostitute. In reality, women are no different than men, and may choose to have sex with another person at the time, place and manner of her choosing, ………..

so long as the other partner is a consenting adult.

In the Polanski case the girl was 13 … and Polanski admitted to the crime.. so justice demands he recieve the lighest possible sentance because of his cooperation and confession to facts in the case, and because of the victem’s postion on the issue. We should not drag out the victem, her past history with booze and sex, issues of promiscuity, and all of the other very pertienant and relevant facts that should be evaluated in making a judgement in this case.. the victem’s statement should be accepted on it’s face and the case rapidly resoved to minimize the impact on all involved. In this case stipulation to a substantial civil judgement to the victem may ultimately be the best way to resolve this,… and possibly a large donation to a fund dedicated to male victems of false accusations of rape and abuse.

… or .. lol.. Polanski should be ‘sentanced’ to make a educational movie on how to improve the morals and ethics of the Hollywood film industry… hollywood is a far better place today than it was in the drug dazed 1970′s… but certainly it has a long, long, way to go in order to be the model of morals and ethics that it should be.
